CURATOR'S NOTE

The strength of Withered Vine comes from restraint as much as colour. Grey establishes the identity, while Black and Yellow control the edges and negative space. On the Five-SeveN, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

LEAD COLOUR

On the Five-SeveN, the slide carries most of the Grey; in Withered Vine, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

PATTERN CONTROL

Across the frame and controls, Withered Vine uses Black to interrupt the main field. On this Five-SeveN, that break gives the illustrative artwork enough rhythm to stay legible.

STRUCTURAL FINISH

At the grip, Withered Vine becomes quieter. Yellow and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Five-SeveN's functional geometry.
