CURATOR'S NOTE
Rather than treating the P2000 as one continuous canvas, Imperial uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Red feels intentional, supported by Black and the darker structural parts. On the P2000, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
LEAD COLOUR
On the P2000, the slide carries most of the Red; in Imperial, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
PATTERN CONTROL
Across the frame and controls, Imperial uses Black to interrupt the main field. On this P2000, that break gives the illustrative artwork enough rhythm to stay legible.
STRUCTURAL FINISH
At the grip, Imperial becomes quieter. the darker structural parts and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the P2000's functional geometry.
