CURATOR'S NOTE

Scorpion reads immediately because the palette is organised rather than scattered. Black takes the visual lead; Brown anchors it; Grey supplies the smaller counterpoint that makes the finish memorable. On the P2000, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
PRIMARY FIELD
On the P2000, the slide carries most of the Black; in Scorpion, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
COLOUR BREAK
Across the frame and controls, Scorpion uses Brown to interrupt the main field. On this P2000, that break gives the illustrative artwork enough rhythm to stay legible.
MATERIAL EDGE
At the grip, Scorpion becomes quieter. Grey and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the P2000's functional geometry.
