CURATOR'S NOTE
Polysoup is strongest when you read it as a composition rather than a colour sample. Its repeating graphic pattern is carried by Red, then tempered by Black so the finish does not collapse into a single block of colour. It is the restraint between those elements—not sheer saturation—that gives the finish its character.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
SURFACE FOCUS
The receiver and handguard carry the strongest Red passage in Polysoup. On the M4A4, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
STRUCTURAL BREAK
The stock and magazine introduce Black as a counterweight. On Polysoup, that shift prevents Red from flattening the design and gives the printed surface treatment a more deliberate rhythm.
FINAL ACCENT
The barrel assembly and exposed hardware act as a visual release point: Pink and exposed material reduce the density of Polysoup and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware.
