CURATOR'S NOTE

On the MAC-10, Button Masher works through hierarchy: one visual idea leads, the rest supports it. The key is the tension between Brown and Grey: one attracts the eye, the other gives the painted and material contrast room to register. Because the visual weight is controlled, the finish remains easy to place inside a curated loadout.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

DOMINANT PASSAGE

Across the upper receiver and body, Button Masher concentrates most of the Brown. This is where the surface-specific graphic treatment reads most clearly and where the MAC-10 gains its first visual anchor.

PATTERN CONTROL

The grip and magazine introduce Grey as a counterweight. On Button Masher, that shift prevents Brown from flattening the design and gives the painted and material contrast a more deliberate rhythm.

MATERIAL DEPTH

The wire stock and front assembly act as a visual release point: Black and exposed material reduce the density of Button Masher and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware.
