CURATOR'S NOTE
The MP9 gives Hot Rod enough surface variation to turn a simple palette into a real composition. Its palette moves from Red into Black instead of treating the whole body as one uninterrupted field. That pacing gives the clean colour blocking a cleaner, more curated finish.

MAIN FIELD
Across the front assembly, Red establishes the strongest read of Hot Rod. This is where the clean colour blocking feels most concentrated and where the MP9 gains its visual anchor.
MID-TONE LINK
The central body introduces Black as a structural counterweight. Rather than competing with Red, it separates forms and gives Hot Rod a clearer rhythm on the MP9.
CLOSING DETAIL
At the rear section, the exposed material acts as the release point. That quieter transition keeps Hot Rod from becoming visually uniform and closes the composition with a distinct material break.
