CURATOR'S NOTE

What gives Boreal Forest its character is the way layered camouflage follows the geometry of the Butterfly Knife. Green carries the first read, then Grey adds enough contrast to keep the silhouette precise. On the Butterfly Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

LEAD COLOUR

On the Butterfly Knife, the blade face carries most of the Green; in Boreal Forest, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

PATTERN CONTROL

Across the spine and tip, Boreal Forest uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this Butterfly Knife, that break gives the layered camouflage enough rhythm to stay legible.

STRUCTURAL FINISH

At the handle transition, Boreal Forest becomes quieter. Black and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Butterfly Knife's functional geometry.
