CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the Falchion Knife as one continuous canvas, Scorched uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Black feels intentional, supported by Grey and the darker structural parts. On the Falchion Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
LEAD COLOUR
On the Falchion Knife, the blade face carries most of the Black; in Scorched, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
PATTERN CONTROL
Across the spine and tip, Scorched uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this Falchion Knife, that break gives the industrial detailing enough rhythm to stay legible.
STRUCTURAL FINISH
At the handle transition, Scorched becomes quieter. the darker structural parts and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Falchion Knife's functional geometry.
