CURATOR'S NOTE

What gives Doppler (Phase 4) its character is the way colour-shifting surface treatment follows the geometry of the Flip Knife. Blue carries the first read, then Black adds enough contrast to keep the silhouette precise. On the Flip Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

VISUAL ANCHOR

On the Flip Knife, the blade face carries most of the Blue; in Doppler (Phase 4), this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

SECONDARY RHYTHM

Across the spine and tip, Doppler (Phase 4) uses Black to interrupt the main field. On this Flip Knife, that break gives the colour-shifting surface treatment enough rhythm to stay legible.

HARDWARE CONTRAST

At the handle transition, Doppler (Phase 4) becomes quieter. Purple and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Flip Knife's functional geometry.
