CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the Flip Knife as one continuous canvas, Freehand uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Purple feels intentional, supported by White and Black. On the Flip Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

SURFACE FLOW

On the Flip Knife, the blade face carries most of the Purple; in Freehand, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

CONTRAST ZONE

Across the spine and tip, Freehand uses White to interrupt the main field. On this Flip Knife, that break gives the graphic pattern enough rhythm to stay legible.

EDGE DEFINITION

At the handle transition, Freehand becomes quieter. Black and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Flip Knife's functional geometry.
