CURATOR'S NOTE

The strength of Autotronic comes from restraint as much as colour. Red establishes the identity, while Grey and Black control the edges and negative space. On the Gut Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

LEAD COLOUR

On the Gut Knife, the blade face carries most of the Red; in Autotronic, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

PATTERN CONTROL

Across the spine and tip, Autotronic uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this Gut Knife, that break gives the surface composition enough rhythm to stay legible.

STRUCTURAL FINISH

At the handle transition, Autotronic becomes quieter. Black and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Gut Knife's functional geometry.
