CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the Gut Knife as one continuous canvas, Scorched uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Black feels intentional, supported by Grey and the darker structural parts. On the Gut Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

SURFACE FLOW

On the Gut Knife, the blade face carries most of the Black; in Scorched, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

CONTRAST ZONE

Across the spine and tip, Scorched uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this Gut Knife, that break gives the industrial detailing enough rhythm to stay legible.

EDGE DEFINITION

At the handle transition, Scorched becomes quieter. the darker structural parts and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Gut Knife's functional geometry.
