CURATOR'S NOTE

What gives Rust Coat its character is the way material-driven finish follows the geometry of the Karambit. Brown carries the first read, then Orange adds enough contrast to keep the silhouette precise. On the Karambit, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

SURFACE FLOW

On the Karambit, the main body carries most of the Brown; in Rust Coat, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

CONTRAST ZONE

Across the secondary panels, Rust Coat uses Orange to interrupt the main field. On this Karambit, that break gives the material-driven finish enough rhythm to stay legible.

EDGE DEFINITION

At the grip and hardware, Rust Coat becomes quieter. Grey and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Karambit's functional geometry.
