The strength of Damascus Steel comes from restraint as much as colour. Grey establishes the identity, while White and the darker structural parts control the edges and negative space. On the M9 Bayonet, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

On the M9 Bayonet, the main body carries most of the Grey; in Damascus Steel, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
