CURATOR'S NOTE

Stained is strongest when you read it as a composition rather than a colour sample. The key is the tension between Grey and White: one attracts the eye, the other gives the painted and material contrast room to register. Nothing needs to be exaggerated; the palette and surface treatment already create a strong visual signature.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
PRIMARY FIELD
The blade face carry the strongest Grey passage in Stained. On the ★ Skeleton Knife, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
SECONDARY RHYTHM
Moving into the spine and cutting edge, White interrupts the main field just enough to separate the surfaces. That pacing is what keeps Stained readable on the ★ Skeleton Knife.
MATERIAL BREAK
Near the handle and pommel, the finish steps back. the exposed material becomes the final accent, allowing the ★ Skeleton Knife's physical construction to close the composition. On this ★ Skeleton Knife, that role is specific to Stained.
