CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the Five-SeveN as one continuous canvas, Candy Apple uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Red feels intentional, supported by Black and Grey. On the Five-SeveN, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

LEAD COLOUR

On the Five-SeveN, the slide carries most of the Red; in Candy Apple, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

PATTERN CONTROL

Across the frame and controls, Candy Apple uses Black to interrupt the main field. On this Five-SeveN, that break gives the illustrative artwork enough rhythm to stay legible.

STRUCTURAL FINISH

At the grip, Candy Apple becomes quieter. Grey and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Five-SeveN's functional geometry.
