CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the G3SG1 as one continuous canvas, Ancient Ritual uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Black feels intentional, supported by Grey and Red. On the G3SG1, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

PRIMARY FIELD

On the G3SG1, the receiver carries most of the Black; in Ancient Ritual, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

COLOUR BREAK

Across the scope and upper line, Ancient Ritual uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this G3SG1, that break gives the illustrative artwork enough rhythm to stay legible.

MATERIAL EDGE

At the stock and magazine, Ancient Ritual becomes quieter. Red and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the G3SG1's functional geometry.
