CURATOR'S NOTE

The strength of Blue Fissure comes from restraint as much as colour. Blue establishes the identity, while Grey and Black control the edges and negative space. On the Glock-18, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

LEAD COLOUR

On the Glock-18, the slide carries most of the Blue; in Blue Fissure, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

PATTERN CONTROL

Across the frame and controls, Blue Fissure uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this Glock-18, that break gives the illustrative artwork enough rhythm to stay legible.

STRUCTURAL FINISH

At the grip, Blue Fissure becomes quieter. Black and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Glock-18's functional geometry.
