Aztec is strongest when you read it as a composition rather than a colour sample. The Green passages establish the first read, while Black controls the separation between sections; the surface-specific graphic treatment provides the identity. Nothing needs to be exaggerated; the palette and surface treatment already create a strong visual signature.

COLOUR MASS
Across the receiver and upper shroud, Aztec concentrates most of the Green. This is where the surface-specific graphic treatment reads most clearly and where the M249 gains its first visual anchor.
SMALLER INTERRUPTIONS
Moving into the stock and magazine housing, Black interrupts the main field just enough to separate the surfaces. That pacing is what keeps Aztec readable on the M249.
SILHOUETTE EDGE
The barrel, bipod and exposed hardware act as a visual release point: Beige and exposed material reduce the density of Aztec and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware.
