CURATOR'S NOTE

Basilisk changes the character of the M4A1-S by treating its silhouette as part of the graphic design. Here, Black supplies the visual weight and Brown gives the surface enough structure for the surface-specific graphic treatment to stay legible. Nothing needs to be exaggerated; the palette and surface treatment already create a strong visual signature.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
DOMINANT PASSAGE
Black is most assertive on the receiver and handguard, turning that section into the visual anchor of Basilisk. The surface-specific graphic treatment is easiest to understand here.
PATTERN CONTROL
Moving into the stock and magazine, Brown interrupts the main field just enough to separate the surfaces. That pacing is what keeps Basilisk readable on the M4A1-S.
MATERIAL DEPTH
At the suppressor and exposed hardware, Grey and the underlying construction become more visible. The quieter treatment frames the painted areas instead of competing with them.
