CURATOR'S NOTE

On the M4A4, Daybreak works through hierarchy: one visual idea leads, the rest supports it. Here, Orange supplies the visual weight and Blue gives the surface enough structure for the surface-specific graphic treatment to stay legible. It is the restraint between those elements—not sheer saturation—that gives the finish its character.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

MAIN GESTURE

The receiver and handguard carry the strongest Orange passage in Daybreak. On the M4A4, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.

QUIETER SUPPORT

Moving into the stock and magazine, Blue interrupts the main field just enough to separate the surfaces. That pacing is what keeps Daybreak readable on the M4A4.

EDGE DETAIL

At the barrel assembly and exposed hardware, Grey and the underlying construction become more visible. The quieter treatment frames the painted areas instead of competing with them. On this M4A4, that role is specific to Daybreak.
