CURATOR'S NOTE

On the M4A4, Desert-Strike works through hierarchy: one visual idea leads, the rest supports it. The key is the tension between Brown and Beige: one attracts the eye, the other gives the painted and material contrast room to register. It is the restraint between those elements—not sheer saturation—that gives the finish its character.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
DOMINANT PASSAGE
The receiver and handguard carry the strongest Brown passage in Desert-Strike. On the M4A4, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
PATTERN CONTROL
The stock and magazine introduce Beige as a counterweight. On Desert-Strike, that shift prevents Brown from flattening the design and gives the painted and material contrast a more deliberate rhythm.
MATERIAL DEPTH
The barrel assembly and exposed hardware act as a visual release point: Black and exposed material reduce the density of Desert-Strike and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware.
