CURATOR'S NOTE

In Living Color is strongest when you read it as a composition rather than a colour sample. Here, Pink supplies the visual weight and Green gives the surface enough structure for the illustrative artwork to stay legible. Nothing needs to be exaggerated; the palette and surface treatment already create a strong visual signature.

COLOUR MASS

The receiver and handguard carry the strongest Pink passage in In Living Color. On the M4A4, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.

SMALLER INTERRUPTIONS

Moving into the stock and magazine, Green interrupts the main field just enough to separate the surfaces. That pacing is what keeps In Living Color readable on the M4A4.

SILHOUETTE EDGE

The barrel assembly and exposed hardware act as a visual release point: Teal and exposed material reduce the density of In Living Color and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware.
