CURATOR'S NOTE

Disco Tech changes the character of the MAC-10 by treating its silhouette as part of the graphic design. Rather than spreading every colour evenly, the finish lets Black dominate and uses Grey to articulate the MAC-10's major breaks. That balance keeps the finish coherent from first read to close-up inspection.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

PRIMARY FIELD

Across the upper receiver and body, Disco Tech concentrates most of the Black. This is where the surface-specific graphic treatment reads most clearly and where the MAC-10 gains its first visual anchor.

SECONDARY RHYTHM

The grip and magazine introduce Grey as a counterweight. On Disco Tech, that shift prevents Black from flattening the design and gives the painted and material contrast a more deliberate rhythm.

MATERIAL BREAK

Near the wire stock and front assembly, the finish steps back. Pink becomes the final accent, allowing the MAC-10's physical construction to close the composition.
