CURATOR'S NOTE
Liquidation changes the character of the MP5-SD by treating its silhouette as part of the graphic design. The key is the tension between Blue and Black: one attracts the eye, the other gives the painted and material contrast room to register. That balance keeps the finish coherent from first read to close-up inspection.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
SURFACE FOCUS
The receiver and suppressor carry the strongest Blue passage in Liquidation. On the MP5-SD, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
STRUCTURAL BREAK
Along the handguard and magazine, Black creates the second layer of the composition. It breaks the Blue mass without weakening the finish's overall identity.
FINAL ACCENT
The stock and smaller controls act as a visual release point: Red and exposed material reduce the density of Liquidation and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware.
