Old Roots is strongest when read as a composition rather than a colour sample. Most of the visual weight sits in Forest, with Black acting as the counterpoint. That balance is what makes the graphic surface treatment feel specific to this version of the MP9.

PRIMARY READ
Across the front assembly, Forest establishes the strongest read of Old Roots. This is where the graphic surface treatment feels most concentrated and where the MP9 gains its visual anchor.
STRUCTURAL BREAK
The central body introduces Black as a structural counterweight. Rather than competing with Forest, it separates forms and gives Old Roots a clearer rhythm on the MP9.
FINAL ACCENT
At the rear section, Brown acts as the release point. That quieter transition keeps Old Roots from becoming visually uniform and closes the composition with a distinct material break.
