CURATOR'S NOTE

The Nova gives Mandrel enough surface variation to turn a simple palette into a real composition. Its palette moves from Grey into Forest instead of treating the whole body as one uninterrupted field. That pacing gives the graphic surface treatment a cleaner, more curated finish.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
MAIN FIELD
Across the front assembly, Grey establishes the strongest read of Mandrel. This is where the graphic surface treatment feels most concentrated and where the Nova gains its visual anchor.
MID-TONE LINK
The central body introduces Forest as a structural counterweight. Rather than competing with Grey, it separates forms and gives Mandrel a clearer rhythm on the Nova.
CLOSING DETAIL
At the rear section, Black acts as the release point. That quieter transition keeps Mandrel from becoming visually uniform and closes the composition with a distinct material break.
