CURATOR'S NOTE

There is a useful tension in The Kraken: the finish feels immediate from a distance, yet more deliberate up close. The composition is anchored by Red, then broken by Black; that contrast gives the illustrative creature motif enough depth to stay readable without becoming noisy.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

FIRST IMPRESSION

Across the front assembly, Red establishes the strongest read of The Kraken. This is where the illustrative creature motif feels most concentrated and where the Sawed-Off gains its visual anchor.

MATERIAL SHIFT

The central body introduces Black as a structural counterweight. Rather than competing with Red, it separates forms and gives The Kraken a clearer rhythm on the Sawed-Off.

SILHOUETTE RELEASE

At the rear section, Gold acts as the release point. That quieter transition keeps The Kraken from becoming visually uniform and closes the composition with a distinct material break.
