CURATOR'S NOTE

On the SSG 08, Rapid Transit works by establishing a clear visual hierarchy. Most of the visual weight sits in Black, with Forest acting as the counterpoint. That balance is what makes the graphic surface treatment feel specific to this version of the SSG 08.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

DOMINANT PASSAGE

Across the front assembly, Black establishes the strongest read of Rapid Transit. This is where the graphic surface treatment feels most concentrated and where the SSG 08 gains its visual anchor.

COLOUR TRANSITION

The central body introduces Forest as a structural counterweight. Rather than competing with Black, it separates forms and gives Rapid Transit a clearer rhythm on the SSG 08.

HARDWARE CONTRAST

At the rear section, White acts as the release point. That quieter transition keeps Rapid Transit from becoming visually uniform and closes the composition with a distinct material break.
