CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the M9 Bayonet as one continuous canvas, Rust Coat uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Brown feels intentional, supported by Orange and Grey. On the M9 Bayonet, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
MAIN GESTURE
On the M9 Bayonet, the main body carries most of the Brown; in Rust Coat, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
QUIETER SUPPORT
Across the secondary panels, Rust Coat uses Orange to interrupt the main field. On this M9 Bayonet, that break gives the material-driven finish enough rhythm to stay legible.
FINAL ACCENT
At the grip and hardware, Rust Coat becomes quieter. Grey and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the M9 Bayonet's functional geometry.
