CURATOR'S NOTE

Rust Coat is strongest when you read it as a composition rather than a colour sample. Its oxidized patina is carried by Brown, then tempered by Orange so the finish does not collapse into a single block of colour. Nothing needs to be exaggerated; the palette and surface treatment already create a strong visual signature.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
SURFACE FOCUS
The blade face carry the strongest Brown passage in Rust Coat. On the ★ Talon Knife, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
STRUCTURAL BREAK
Along the spine and cutting edge, Orange creates the second layer of the composition. It breaks the Brown mass without weakening the finish's overall identity. On this ★ Talon Knife, that role is specific to Rust Coat.
FINAL ACCENT
The handle and pommel act as a visual release point: Grey and exposed material reduce the density of Rust Coat and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware. On this ★ Talon Knife, that role is specific to Rust Coat.
