CURATOR'S NOTE
Storm Camo changes the character of the MAC-10 by treating its silhouette as part of the graphic design. The key is the tension between Blue and Black: one attracts the eye, the other gives the matte field coating room to register. Nothing needs to be exaggerated; the palette and surface treatment already create a strong visual signature.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
PRIMARY FIELD
Across the upper receiver and body, Storm Camo concentrates most of the Blue. This is where the camouflage patterning reads most clearly and where the MAC-10 gains its first visual anchor.
SECONDARY RHYTHM
Along the grip and magazine, Black creates the second layer of the composition. It breaks the Blue mass without weakening the finish's overall identity.
MATERIAL BREAK
The wire stock and front assembly act as a visual release point: Grey and exposed material reduce the density of Storm Camo and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware.
