CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the Butterfly Knife as one continuous canvas, Blue Steel uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Blue feels intentional, supported by Grey and the darker structural parts. On the Butterfly Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
MAIN GESTURE
On the Butterfly Knife, the blade face carries most of the Blue; in Blue Steel, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
QUIETER SUPPORT
Across the spine and tip, Blue Steel uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this Butterfly Knife, that break gives the material-driven finish enough rhythm to stay legible.
FINAL ACCENT
At the handle transition, Blue Steel becomes quieter. the darker structural parts and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Butterfly Knife's functional geometry.
