CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the Flip Knife as one continuous canvas, Black Laminate uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Black feels intentional, supported by Grey and Brown. On the Flip Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
PRIMARY FIELD
On the Flip Knife, the blade face carries most of the Black; in Black Laminate, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
COLOUR BREAK
Across the spine and tip, Black Laminate uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this Flip Knife, that break gives the material-driven finish enough rhythm to stay legible.
MATERIAL EDGE
At the handle transition, Black Laminate becomes quieter. Brown and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Flip Knife's functional geometry.
