CURATOR'S NOTE

Rust Coat is built around a clear visual hierarchy: Brown leads, Orange structures the finish, and Grey keeps the composition from collapsing into a single block of colour. On the Navaja Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

LEAD COLOUR

On the Navaja Knife, the blade face carries most of the Brown; in Rust Coat, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

PATTERN CONTROL

Across the spine and tip, Rust Coat uses Orange to interrupt the main field. On this Navaja Knife, that break gives the material-driven finish enough rhythm to stay legible.

STRUCTURAL FINISH

At the handle transition, Rust Coat becomes quieter. Grey and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Navaja Knife's functional geometry.
