CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the Navaja Knife as one continuous canvas, Case Hardened uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Blue feels intentional, supported by Gold and Brown. On the Navaja Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
SURFACE FLOW
On the Navaja Knife, the blade face carries most of the Blue; in Case Hardened, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
CONTRAST ZONE
Across the spine and tip, Case Hardened uses Gold to interrupt the main field. On this Navaja Knife, that break gives the colour-shifting surface treatment enough rhythm to stay legible.
EDGE DEFINITION
At the handle transition, Case Hardened becomes quieter. Brown and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Navaja Knife's functional geometry.
