CURATOR'S NOTE

The appeal of Slaughter comes from how deliberately its surface treatment is distributed across the ★ Skeleton Knife. Here, Red supplies the visual weight and Black gives the surface enough structure for the red-on-steel abstract pattern to stay legible. It is the restraint between those elements—not sheer saturation—that gives the finish its character.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
MAIN GESTURE
The blade face carry the strongest Red passage in Slaughter. On the ★ Skeleton Knife, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
QUIETER SUPPORT
Along the spine and cutting edge, Black creates the second layer of the composition. It breaks the Red mass without weakening the finish's overall identity. On this ★ Skeleton Knife, that role is specific to Slaughter.
EDGE DETAIL
The handle and pommel act as a visual release point: the exposed material and exposed material reduce the density of Slaughter and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware. On this ★ Skeleton Knife, that role is specific to Slaughter.
