CURATOR'S NOTE

Rust Coat changes the character of the ★ Stiletto Knife by treating its silhouette as part of the graphic design. Its oxidized patina is carried by Brown, then tempered by Orange so the finish does not collapse into a single block of colour. It is the restraint between those elements—not sheer saturation—that gives the finish its character.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
DOMINANT PASSAGE
Across the blade face, Rust Coat concentrates most of the Brown. This is where the oxidized patina reads most clearly and where the ★ Stiletto Knife gains its first visual anchor.
PATTERN CONTROL
Along the spine and cutting edge, Orange creates the second layer of the composition. It breaks the Brown mass without weakening the finish's overall identity. On this ★ Stiletto Knife, that role is specific to Rust Coat.
MATERIAL DEPTH
The handle and pommel act as a visual release point: Grey and exposed material reduce the density of Rust Coat and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware. On this ★ Stiletto Knife, that role is specific to Rust Coat.
