CURATOR'S NOTE
What makes Stained convincing is the relationship between colour, material and the ★ Ursus Knife's underlying geometry. The key is the tension between Grey and White: one attracts the eye, the other gives the painted and material contrast room to register. The result feels balanced and deliberate: recognisable at a glance, but detailed enough to reward a closer look.

PRIMARY FIELD
Across the blade face, Stained concentrates most of the Grey. This is where the surface-specific graphic treatment reads most clearly and where the ★ Ursus Knife gains its first visual anchor.
SECONDARY RHYTHM
The spine and cutting edge introduce White as a counterweight. On Stained, that shift prevents Grey from flattening the design and gives the painted and material contrast a more deliberate rhythm.
MATERIAL BREAK
Near the handle and pommel, the finish steps back. the exposed material becomes the final accent, allowing the ★ Ursus Knife's physical construction to close the composition. On this ★ Ursus Knife, that role is specific to Stained.
