CURATOR'S NOTE

Rather than treating the Five-SeveN as one continuous canvas, Flame Test uses its separate surfaces deliberately. The result is a finish where Black feels intentional, supported by Grey and the darker structural parts. On the Five-SeveN, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
MAIN GESTURE
On the Five-SeveN, the slide carries most of the Black; in Flame Test, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.
QUIETER SUPPORT
Across the frame and controls, Flame Test uses Grey to interrupt the main field. On this Five-SeveN, that break gives the illustrative artwork enough rhythm to stay legible.
FINAL ACCENT
At the grip, Flame Test becomes quieter. the darker structural parts and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Five-SeveN's functional geometry.
