CURATOR'S NOTE
What makes Light Box convincing is the relationship between colour, material and the MAC-10's underlying geometry. Rather than spreading every colour evenly, the finish lets Black dominate and uses Blue to articulate the MAC-10's major breaks. The result feels balanced and deliberate: recognisable at a glance, but detailed enough to reward a closer look.

COLOUR MASS
Black is most assertive on the upper receiver and body, turning that section into the visual anchor of Light Box. The surface-specific graphic treatment is easiest to understand here.
SMALLER INTERRUPTIONS
The grip and magazine introduce Blue as a counterweight. On Light Box, that shift prevents Black from flattening the design and gives the painted and material contrast a more deliberate rhythm.
SILHOUETTE EDGE
At the wire stock and front assembly, Grey and the underlying construction become more visible. The quieter treatment frames the painted areas instead of competing with them. On this MAC-10, that role is specific to Light Box.
