CURATOR'S NOTE

There is a useful tension in Short Ochre: the finish feels immediate from a distance, yet more deliberate up close. The composition is anchored by Black, then broken by Beige; that contrast gives the graphic surface treatment enough depth to stay readable without becoming noisy.

FIRST IMPRESSION

Across the front assembly, Black establishes the strongest read of Short Ochre. This is where the graphic surface treatment feels most concentrated and where the SCAR-20 gains its visual anchor.

MATERIAL SHIFT

The central body introduces Beige as a structural counterweight. Rather than competing with Black, it separates forms and gives Short Ochre a clearer rhythm on the SCAR-20.

SILHOUETTE RELEASE

At the rear section, Brown acts as the release point. That quieter transition keeps Short Ochre from becoming visually uniform and closes the composition with a distinct material break.
