CURATOR'S NOTE
The appeal of Stained comes from how deliberately its surface treatment is distributed across the ★ Shadow Daggers. The Grey passages establish the first read, while White controls the separation between sections; the surface-specific graphic treatment provides the identity. Nothing needs to be exaggerated; the palette and surface treatment already create a strong visual signature.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
PRIMARY FIELD
The twin blade faces carry the strongest Grey passage in Stained. On the ★ Shadow Daggers, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
SECONDARY RHYTHM
Along the spines and cutting edges, White creates the second layer of the composition. It breaks the Grey mass without weakening the finish's overall identity.
MATERIAL BREAK
At the handles and pommels, the exposed material and the underlying construction become more visible. The quieter treatment frames the painted areas instead of competing with them. On this ★ Shadow Daggers, that role is specific to Stained.
