CURATOR'S NOTE
On the M4A1-S, Rose Hex works through hierarchy: one visual idea leads, the rest supports it. Its repeating graphic pattern is carried by Orange, then tempered by Brown so the finish does not collapse into a single block of colour. It is the restraint between those elements—not sheer saturation—that gives the finish its character.

SURFACE FOCUS
Orange is most assertive on the receiver and handguard, turning that section into the visual anchor of Rose Hex. The repeating graphic pattern is easiest to understand here.
STRUCTURAL BREAK
The stock and magazine introduce Brown as a counterweight. On Rose Hex, that shift prevents Orange from flattening the design and gives the printed surface treatment a more deliberate rhythm.
FINAL ACCENT
At the suppressor and exposed hardware, Red and the underlying construction become more visible. The quieter treatment frames the painted areas instead of competing with them. On this M4A1-S, that role is specific to Rose Hex.
