CURATOR'S NOTE

What makes Nuclear Garden convincing is the relationship between colour, material and the MAC-10's underlying geometry. The Green passages establish the first read, while Brown controls the separation between sections; the surface-specific graphic treatment provides the identity. The result feels balanced and deliberate: recognisable at a glance, but detailed enough to reward a closer look.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
DOMINANT PASSAGE
The upper receiver and body carry the strongest Green passage in Nuclear Garden. On the MAC-10, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
PATTERN CONTROL
The grip and magazine introduce Brown as a counterweight. On Nuclear Garden, that shift prevents Green from flattening the design and gives the painted and material contrast a more deliberate rhythm.
MATERIAL DEPTH
At the wire stock and front assembly, Grey and the underlying construction become more visible. The quieter treatment frames the painted areas instead of competing with them. On this MAC-10, that role is specific to Nuclear Garden.
