CURATOR'S NOTE
On the MAC-10, Strats works through hierarchy: one visual idea leads, the rest supports it. Here, Black supplies the visual weight and Grey gives the surface enough structure for the surface-specific graphic treatment to stay legible. It is the restraint between those elements—not sheer saturation—that gives the finish its character.

MAIN GESTURE
The upper receiver and body carry the strongest Black passage in Strats. On the MAC-10, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
QUIETER SUPPORT
Along the grip and magazine, Grey creates the second layer of the composition. It breaks the Black mass without weakening the finish's overall identity. On this MAC-10, that role is specific to Strats.
EDGE DETAIL
The wire stock and front assembly act as a visual release point: Blue and exposed material reduce the density of Strats and sharpen the boundary between finish and hardware.
