CURATOR'S NOTE

Freehand is built around a clear visual hierarchy: Purple leads, White structures the finish, and Black keeps the composition from collapsing into a single block of colour. On the Butterfly Knife, that balance follows this specific finish treatment especially well.

DETAILS / CLOSE-UP

LEAD COLOUR

On the Butterfly Knife, the blade face carries most of the Purple; in Freehand, this becomes the first area the eye reads and the clearest expression of the finish.

PATTERN CONTROL

Across the spine and tip, Freehand uses White to interrupt the main field. On this Butterfly Knife, that break gives the graphic pattern enough rhythm to stay legible.

STRUCTURAL FINISH

At the handle transition, Freehand becomes quieter. Black and the underlying material define the boundary between painted surface and the Butterfly Knife's functional geometry.
