CURATOR'S NOTE
The appeal of Tatter comes from how deliberately its surface treatment is distributed across the MAC-10. Its surface-specific graphic treatment is carried by Red, then tempered by Beige so the finish does not collapse into a single block of colour. Nothing needs to be exaggerated; the palette and surface treatment already create a strong visual signature.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
MAIN GESTURE
The upper receiver and body carry the strongest Red passage in Tatter. On the MAC-10, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
QUIETER SUPPORT
Along the grip and magazine, Beige creates the second layer of the composition. It breaks the Red mass without weakening the finish's overall identity. On this MAC-10, that role is specific to Tatter.
EDGE DETAIL
Near the wire stock and front assembly, the finish steps back. Green becomes the final accent, allowing the MAC-10's physical construction to close the composition. On this MAC-10, that role is specific to Tatter.
