CURATOR'S NOTE
Last Dive changes the character of the MAC-10 by treating its silhouette as part of the graphic design. Here, Brown supplies the visual weight and Black gives the surface enough structure for the surface-specific graphic treatment to stay legible. The result feels balanced and deliberate: recognisable at a glance, but detailed enough to reward a closer look.
DETAILS / CLOSE-UP
DOMINANT PASSAGE
The upper receiver and body carry the strongest Brown passage in Last Dive. On the MAC-10, that concentration gives the finish a clear centre of gravity before the eye moves outward.
PATTERN CONTROL
The grip and magazine introduce Black as a counterweight. On Last Dive, that shift prevents Brown from flattening the design and gives the painted and material contrast a more deliberate rhythm.
MATERIAL DEPTH
Near the wire stock and front assembly, the finish steps back. Grey becomes the final accent, allowing the MAC-10's physical construction to close the composition. On this MAC-10, that role is specific to Last Dive.
